A long-time NBA executive will share insights from 25-plus years of involvement in the league's scheduling process, focusing on the practicality of applying analytics. Users will learn how to apply these principles to their own careers, as well as guidance for finding their first -- or next -- job in the profession.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (B.A. in business education) and Ohio University (M.Ed. in sports administration), Dan Hauser spent 34 years with the Detroit Pistons/Palace Sports & Entertainment, ascending to the role of executive vice president, before spending four years with the Philadelphia 76ers as senior vice president of corporate partnerships. With the 76ers Dan expanded distribution of the 76ers Radio Network throughout Pennsylvania, coordinated scheduling of the team's preseason games, and served as the franchise's liaison to the NBA for regular season scheduling. Dan played baseball and football at UW-Stevens Point, earning a host of university, conference and regional academic and athletic honors.
