Dr. Chris Hartleb

Dr. Hartleb received his B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, M.S. in Limnology from the University of New Hampshire, and Ph.D. in Fisheries Ecology from the University of Maine. He has been a Professor of Biology at UW-Stevens Point for over 23 years where he has experience working with larval fish, cold and cool water aquaculture, and aquaponics. He teaches courses in aquaculture, aquaponics, fisheries ecology, and field ecology. He also oversees the aquaculture minor and aquaponic certificate programs at UWSP. In addition, his responsibilities as Director of UWSP-NADF include administrative, budget and personnel management, grant writing, project development, data analysis, and aquaculture program advancement for the facility since 2006.
