Junior Scientist Program:

The UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) Museum of Natural History and UWSP Planetarium are launching their first-ever Junior Scientist Program! This free program will run during the school year (September-May). The Spring 2022 schedule will come out in early January. Come to 10 events or programs per school year to achieve Junior Scientist status. Events and programs will be held at the Museum and the Planetarium. Sign in at each event to get your name tag and show everyone you are a Junior Scientist in-training! Once you reach the level of Junior Scientist, you get to have your picture put up on our Wall of Juniors! At the end of the school year, we will have a ceremony and party honoring all of our Juniors! Registration is free and can be done online or in-person at our events. All events and programs are free to attend.

Story Time:
Join the staff at the UWSP Museum of Natural History every other Friday at 10 - 11 a.m. as we read some nature and wildlife-themed children’s books, dance the wiggles out, color and do a craft, play a game, and learn more about the topic for the week’s theme. Story Time is geared towards children ages 2-5, but all are welcome to join in on the fun! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Registration is appreciated so we have enough supplies for participants. Registration can be done on our website or you can call or email the Museum.
