To provide students and faculty with the best classroom and laboratory space for research and teaching, the university opened the state-of-the-art science Haeni Chemistry Biology Building in Fall 2018. It houses the department offices as well as the central offices of the College of Letters and Science. Our new learning space added 176,500 square feet of working space and became a central hub of activity for campus. The building was designed as a \u201cscience-on-display\u201d facility with teaching and research labs and instrumentation<\/a> found in top tier research institutions. 1801 Fourth Avenue The Collins Classroom Center is home to the offices for the School of Humanities and Global Studies along with our student-staffed Cornerstone Press. More than 40 classrooms, a large lecture hall, and computer labs are housed in the building. UWSP Libraries is located in Room 130. Specialized math tutoring is available for students in our Math Pad inside CCC 302. Computer workstation access and other study spaces are located in CCC 109, 126, 240, 330 and 334. Weekly public shows are presented through the academic year in our Blocher Planetarium on the Second Floor. The Arthur J. Pejsa Observatory on the Fourth Floor is staffed by knowledgeable astronomy students and staff for viewing the night sky. The building houses the Center for Small Cities and GIS Center, the Skyward Internship Center, teaching labs, computer labs and small laboratories for student use. The building also houses our impressive collections in ichthyology, herpetology, parasitology, and ornithology, all of which are used in research and in our courses.
