Schmeeckle Reserve is a natural area on the campus of UW-Stevens
Point. Explore this 280-acre conservancy area with 5 miles of trails and
boardwalks, a 24-acre lake, and a large diversity of habitats that
support numerous wildlife species.
The Reserve is managed to protect and restore natural communities of central Wisconsin, serve as an outdoor classroom for learning, and provide outdoor recreation opportunities.
It is open to the public and serves as a unique gathering place for the community and university.

Road Construction: A roundabout is being constructed at the intersection of North Point Drive and Division Street/Business 51. The intersection will be closed, along with Exit 161 off of I-39, from June 7 through Aug. 30, 2018. Schmeeckle visitors coming from I-39 will need to take Exit 159 to Stanley Street and turn onto North Point Drive. Visitors from Stevens Point can drive north on Michigan Ave. and east on North Point Drive. Click for more information and a detour map.
