Course Information

Overview

This program plan project will allow you to integrate the knowledge and skills presented within all of the previous courses keeping best practices for safety, integrated vegetation management, environmental stewardship, and sustainability at the forefront. The project focuses on systematically utilizing the program and project management processes, tools and techniques to develop an effective, efficient, and sustainable UVM program plan based on integrated vegetation management best practices.

This course provides the "demonstration of competency" required for the UAA professional credential.

Learning Objective:

  • Develop, recommend, and present a utility vegetation management (UVM) program plan based on best practices.

Delivery

This 12-week course is 100% online using a combination of tutorials, discussions, and projects.

Target Audience/Pre-requisites 

This course is designed for utility vegetation management professionals or individuals looking to enter the field. Previous experience with utility vegetation management, arboriculture, or forestry is beneficial but not required.

Pre-requisite: successful completion of UVM Safety, Risk, and Quality Management.

Cancellation Policy

Written requests received prior to the course start date will be granted a full refund. Requests received within the first week of class will receive a 50% refund.
