The Helen R. Godfrey University Child Learning and Care Center welcomes you!
Serving children ages 6 weeks through 12 years
Our purpose is to provide quality learning experiences and care for infants, toddlers, pre-school, 4K and school-age children. UCLCC’s learning environments are cognitively stimulating, aesthetically pleasing and foster children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive growth. The center’s strong emphasis on family, community and culture is promoted with developmentally appropriate practices and the Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach. Educational learning goals are based on the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards; developed through classroom observation as well as child and program assessments. UCLCC is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and rated a 5-star provider by YoungStar, Wisconsin’s quality rating program.
We provide convenient child care services at a reasonable cost to UW-Stevens Point students, faculty/staff, and alumni. Enrollment is also open to community members. ENROLLMENT
The Children’s Learning Center is open and we are currently enrolling children ages 2 and older for the upcoming school year. 4K enrollment for 2026-2027 school year is NOW OPEN!
We will be registering for our SUMMER SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM for 2026 beginning in March 2026…reach out for more information!

Virtual UCLCC Information
ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
The UCLCC teaching staff is currently in contact with children and families via email and our HRG UCLCC Facebook page with storytime, resources, a variety of other virtual opportunities.
Children enrolled in 4K with the Stevens Point Area Public School District will begin e-learning on Monday, April 6th. Your child’s teacher will be in contact with those families via email as we begin this new form of learning keeping in mind, play is the best way to learn!
Volunteer opportunities, student employment, and students needing to complete academic coursework (practicum, student teach) are currently unable to so at the UCLCC. Please speak with your professors about possible alternative assignments.
