Intramurals your key to recreation
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Intramurals program is dedicated to providing students, faculty and staff of the university many opportunities for involvement in a healthy, safe and competitive environment. Activities in the Intramurals program enhance the college experience by promoting responsibility, sportsmanship and fun.
We offer curling, volleyball, ultimate kickball, trench ball, basketball, soccer, flag football, softball, sentry world golf league, college hockey league, log rolling and more.
Participating is easy
For our league play, intramurals run on a block scheduling system which is offered twice per semester. A 'block' is six weeks long and leagues typically take place on the same nights and times for the entire block. All of our activities are organized into leagues. Teams for leagues can be created by those who would like to be on the same team and name a team captain, or individuals who sign up and are assigned by the office to a team. Each team or individual will pay a small fee to participate depending on the League.
The gear to play is typically provided with a few exceptions. Our program is broken into two different types of leagues; D1 leagues are competitive and D2 leagues are recreational. The goal is to make sure every student has an opportunity to participate at whatever level they feel comfortable.
Go outside and play
The Intramurals office is also home to an outdoor rental program that allows the UW-Stevens Point community to rent reasonably priced outdoor equipment such as canoes, kayaks, camping equipment, backyard games and more. Take in the surrounding natural beauty with one of our many outdoor rentals.
