Looking for an on-campus job?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Be one of the 2,000+ students who work on-campus while attending UW-Stevens Point! Students enrolled in six or more credits can find part-time and summer seasonal full-time jobs, either on or off campus, through the online job board, CASEConnect<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Federal Work-Study and Non-Federal Work-Study employment options are available to students. Work-study is a federally funded program for students with demonstrated financial need. The only real difference between work-study and any other job is how a job is funded; The employer pays a portion, and the federal government pays a portion. Many students debate whether to take advantage of this program. This money can be used by students as \u201cspending\u201d money to help pay for living expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National studies indicate students who work up to 20 hours per week on campus do as well academically (if not better) than their non-working peers. Having an on-campus job provides students with another means to make a connection to campus, meet new people, and earn a few dollars.<\/p>\n

Using your work-study also allows you to apply for jobs that are not always available to all students, as some departments are only able to hire students who have been awarded work-study.<\/p><\/div>
