{"id":1306,"date":"2026-01-16T12:38:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T18:38:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=223310"},"modified":"2026-01-16T12:46:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T18:46:09","slug":"business-and-society-lecture-series-ken-favaro","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/calendar\/event\/business-and-society-lecture-series-ken-favaro\/","title":{"rendered":"Business and Society Lecture Series: Ken Favaro"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"structured-content-rich-text\">\n<div class=\"eds-text--left\">\n<p>Join the UWSP Sentry School of Business and Economics for a <strong>Business and Society Lecture Series<\/strong> event as author Ken Favaro presents &#8220;Real Strategy and Innovation&#8221; on Wednesday, March 11 at 7-9 a.m. in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy is a powerful tool for driving business results but too often, leaders achieve sub-par outcomes because they carry misconceptions of what strategy is, what makes it great and how to keep it great.<\/p>\n<p>Based on his decades of experience working with CEOs, executive teams and boards, <strong>Ken Favaro<\/strong> has written <em>Real Strategy<\/em>; published in 2024, the book is a no-nonsense guide to the most difficult questions about strategy. You will receive an email with Zoom link the day before the event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"structured-content-rich-text\">\n<div class=\"eds-text--left\">\n<h4>About Ken Favaro<\/h4>\n<p>After graduating from Stanford University with Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees, Favaro worked at Bain &amp; Company. Favaro spent the bulk of his consulting career (25 years) at Marakon Associates, during which he served as CEO for six years.
