In addition, state-of-the-art sound and video equipment provide the space with the flexibility to be used in a variety of multi-media settings.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Michelsen Hall was named after Peter Michelsen. Long-time music department chair Donald Greene said about Michelsen, &#8220;Peter Michelsen was the music department.&#8221; Michelsen was appointed music director in 1931. He formed the first real band of the college that by 1935 grew to a widely known 60 member touring group.
