In this scented case of mistaken identity and letter writing, two feuding perfume clerks have no idea that they are in love. Set in a 1930s European perfumery, we meet shop clerks, Amalia and Georg, who, more often than not, don’t see eye to eye. After both respond to a “lonely hearts advertisement” in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Jenkins Theatre is a 372 seat traditional proscenium stage. It is exceptionally well equipped. It offers the students the opportunity to work with elaborate lighting and sound systems. The stage features 40 linesets with Brickhouse arbors, 9 motorized winches, 8 traps and a hydraulically actuated orchestra pit. Lighting students get to work with an inventory of approximately 400 LED and conventional fixtures.
