DESCRIPTION:The planetarium documentary “The Hot and Energetic Universe” presents with the use of Immersive Visualizations and real images the achievements of the modern astronomy\, the most advanced terrestrial and orbital observatories\, the basic principles electromagnetic radiation and the natural phenomena related to the High Energy Astrophysics.  This full dome film immerses viewers in real life imagery and visualizations of gaseous reactions within supernova remnants\, galaxy clusters\, neutron stars and supermassive black holes. Observe the perpetual reactions and processes within the depths of the cosmos\, helping shape our understanding of the universe. \nHigh Energy Astrophysics plays a key role in understanding the universe. These radiations reveal the processes in the hot and violent universe. \n*Recommended for all audiences \nAdmission\nThere is no charge for our public programs\, although donations of $1-$2 per attendee will be greatly appreciated to allow us to continue these public programs for our community. \nParking\nParking is free on campus for our guests only on Saturdays and Sundays. From Monday-Friday\, the UWSP parking lots are enforced 2 am – 7 pm. DESCRIPTION:Understanding the basics of the calendar – What is a day? What is a month? What is a year? How are the names of the days related to important objects in our solar system? Join us for this Junior Scientist program ideal for families! \nOur shows are open to the public in the Allen F. Blocher Planetarium. The planetarium is located on the second floor of the Science Building\, by the Foucault pendulum\, right above the east main entrance. Direct access is obtained through the east entrance. \n*Recommended for all families\, ages 4-12\nSunday Story Time at 3pm\, Planetarium Show at 3:30pm\n \nAdmission\nThere is no charge for our public programs\, although donations of $1-$2 per attendee will be greatly appreciated to allow us to continue these public programs for our community. \nParking\nParking is free on campus for our guests only on Saturdays and Sundays. From Monday-Friday\, the UWSP parking lots are enforced 2 am – 7 pm.
