On a central Wisconsin dairy farm, Uncle Johnny is pondering life, love and what it means to be living in today’s America. Farm life is shaken up when the homestead is visited by a Professor from UWSP and his all too charming wife. Family struggles reveal new fissures, while exposing the heart of living in a divided America where rural and urban life do not always see eye to eye.

Developed during Professor Tyler Marchant’s fall sabbatical, Uncle Johnny is freely adapted from Uncle Vanya, the seminal work of Russian playwright, Anton Chekhov.
