As an art history major at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, you will prepare for further study in graduate school. You can choose from art history courses focusing on western or eastern art history, and a combination of studio art courses plus a strong art historical preparation.

Get Involved on Campus
All students are welcome to join one of the Art and Design student groups. Organizations meet on a regular basis and contribute actively to student life by sponsoring trips and special events, and raising awareness of aesthetic issues.
Officers work with faculty advisers, the department, college and university to facilitate conferences, workshops, lectures and visiting artists and designers. Our student organizations are:

Gain Experience Outside the Classroom
Students in art history have many opportunities to study abroad and see historical artwork throughout Europe and China. You will have the opportunity to work in the Carlsten Art Gallery at the Noel Fine Arts Center with the gallery director on exhibitions.
