The musical theatre degree offers its students stimulating pre-professional classes. The courses focus on the development and investigation of performance techniques. Classes include private voice lessons (four years), acting (Meisner technique), music theory\/piano, musical theater performance labs, audition preparation\/scene into song, musical theater dance, ballet, jazz, modern, tap, voice and articulation and musical theater history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At UW-Stevens Point you will have opportunities each year to perform in a variety of venues including Jenkins Theatre, and our black box Studio Theatre. Yearly performance opportunities include contermporary musical theatre productions, classical musical theatre productions, Player’s student group perfomances and masterclasses with visiting artists.<\/p>\n
