This program uses scanned text to make an image of the text appear on the screen and optical character recognition to turn the text into speech. This software will also act as a screen reader and allows you to type into the program. It has many additional features that are useful as study aids. Also allows for custom color schemes to enhance visual quality. This software is available on two computers in the AT lab.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">WINDOWS 10 NARRATOR &amp; MAGNIFIER<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Screen reading software available on all computers with Windows 10. Go to:&nbsp;<em>Start &gt; Programs &gt; Accessories &gt; Ease of Access &gt; Narrator<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All computers with Microsoft Windows 10 are equipped with a screen magnifier, along with other accessibility options. To access the magnifier, go to:&nbsp;<em>Start &gt; Programs &gt; Accessories &gt; Ease of Access &gt; Magnifier<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">DRAGON NATURALLY SPEAKING (PREMIERE)<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>This software is called &#8220;Voice Recognition&#8221; software. Once the user has programmed his or her voice into the computer workstation, it allows the user to use the computer verbally. This includes using menu commands and word processing. The user speaks into a microphone, and the words appear on the screen.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">MAC COMPUTERS<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>These computers come with zoom and magnifier tools, as well as the screen reader VoiceOver.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">SONOCENT<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Audio note taking software. Record, type, insert PowerPoints and PDFs. Computer download, and it also works with an app on a phone or tablet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EQUIPMENT IN THE ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY LAB<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Computer Stations<\/strong><br>Five (5) PCs and one (1) Mac.
