{"id":660,"date":"2026-05-21T19:01:56","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T19:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-uwsp-multi.pantheonsite.io\/academic-affairs\/?page_id=660"},"modified":"2026-05-26T19:41:31","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T19:41:31","slug":"uwsp-new-program-accelerator","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/growth-initiative\/uwsp-new-program-accelerator\/","title":{"rendered":"UWSP New Program Accelerator"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Growth Initiative follows a dynamic \u201cNew Program Accelerator\u201d approach that includes four progressive phases: Ideate, Cultivate, Activate, and Evaluate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignfull size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator-1024x312.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-674\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator-1024x312.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator-300x91.png 300w, https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator-768x234.png 768w, https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator-1536x468.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/academic-affairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2026\/05\/growth-accelerator.png 1968w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<br>\u200bIn the first phase, \u201c<strong>Ideate<\/strong>,\u201d we gather and review new ideas for UWSP academic\u00a0programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are initial indicators of potential success for the new program idea, such as market or employer demand and faculty interest and expertise, then the respective College Dean may approve the idea to move into phase two \u201c<strong>Cultivate<\/strong>.\u201d During this phase\u200b, we conduct more formal&nbsp;market&nbsp;\u200bresearch, continue to refine the budget plan, determine accreditation\u200b&nbsp;needs,&nbsp;and seek the appropriate stakeholder approvals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the required approvals are granted and funding is secured, the new program idea moves into the third phase \u201c<strong>Activate<\/strong>.\u201d Here, we identify a Program Director, develop marketing campaigns, finalize the program budget, complete program\/course\/curriculum\u200b design, and finally, launch the program. The Activate phase includes many parallel activities and checkpoints along the way to ensure program development is efficient and is continuously moving forward to achie\u200bve program launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last phase, \u201c<strong>Evaluate<\/strong>,\u201d is an ongoing process post-program launch \u200bthat involves program evaluation and continuous improvement.
