Our online and distance delivery offerings are reviewed and approved by the UW System, faculty governance at UW-Stevens Point, and as part of&nbsp;the Higher Learning Commission&#8217;s accreditation requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the U.S. Department of Education&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.ed.gov\/policy\/highered\/reg\/hearulemaking\/2009\/integrity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Program Integrity Regulations<\/a>, UW-Stevens Point is committed to complying with the quality standards established for online and distance education established by other state agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Known as &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.ed.gov\/policy\/highered\/reg\/hearulemaking\/2009\/sa.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">State Authorizations<\/a>,&#8221; these quality standards and the corresponding licensure process requires each college or university to seek authorization (or exemption) from states in which residents are enrolled in&nbsp;online degree programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State Authorizations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In compliance with federal, state, and other policies, UW-Stevens Point provides this list of U.S. states&nbsp;in which authorization or exemption (as applicable) has been granted.
