Do you have any skills or talents that some people don’t know about?

There are probably quite a few. I greatly enjoy learning to make new things. This passion has let me to run in many directions from woodturning to painting, 3d printing to stained glass.

What do you like to eat for lunch?

Whatever leftovers I’ve made. Cooking has always been an interest of mine, and I always like to try new things. Nostalgia tends to fuel a lot of what I make; so, I pull from experiences like living in South Florida and New England and having eaten classic Midwestern and Vietnamese while growing up.

Do you own any pets?

I have two cats and a dog: Zoë, Kaylee, and Jayne. Starting with Zoë, my wife and I began naming our pets after the characters from the TV show Firefly.

If you could choose a place to visit, where would it be?

I have to cheat on this one and not limit it to one. The top two places I would like to visit are New Zealand and Japan. The landscape and history of these countries is captivating to me. It would also be hard to choose how to spend my time in both! I would want to have opportunities to visit museums to learn more about the histories and arts, but I also love spending time out in nature and off the beaten path when traveling.
