Community Service Challenge - 125,000 Hours
Our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends volunteer and serve their communities daily. It doesn’t matter whether that community is your own family, the town where you live, the state, the nation or the world. Being a Pointer, in other words, requires a determination to make the world a better place. To honor our 125th year, we are asking you to record your service hours to reach our goal of 125,000 volunteer hours total. Below is a slideshow of potential volunteer opportunities.
Submit your photos and stories serving your community by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. UW-Stevens Point will promote community service opportunities and those who have served their community by using #UWSP125. We encourage everyone to use the anniversity hashtag, so we can share, tag and repost.
The log-in form is LIVE. Please log-in all volunteer hours by clicking the link below.
While we prefer individuals to log their own volunteer hours, if you are going to log hours for a group, please add all individual hours together. Example: If you have one group with seven individuals who each volunteered three hours, please log a total of 21 service hours.
The UW-Stevens Point 125th planning committee works closely with Campus Activities and Student Engagement to track student hours. If you are a current UW-Stevens Point student who needs to log-in volunteer hours, please do so at spin.uwsp.edu. The hours you log into SPIN will count towards our 125,000 hours goal.
