The goals of the Women’s Studies program are:
To learn about women’s contributions in all arenas of society and culture, and to counter the effects of gender bias in all fields of knowledge.
To critically study the forms and effects of gender bias and discrimination in human societies, and to gain an understanding of the particular issues and challenges facing women in the past and present.
To prepare women and men to serve as engaged global citizens, committed to preserving and furthering the ideal of equality, freedom, and justice for all.
