Auburndale baseball coach Mark Brost wrote to each of the 30 major league baseball teams prior to Jordan Zimmermann’s senior season to brag about his talented right-hander.
He received virtually no response.
Zimmermann is now one of the best pitchers in the major leagues. His 11 wins are the most in the National League, and he will likely be selected next week to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
