UW-Stevens Point students volunteer during 'Labor of Love'

It's only been two days since first year students at UW-Stevens Point moved in to begin college, and they've already gotten involved in the place they're going to be calling home for the next four years.

Over 150 students took part in the annual Labor of Love event that allowed students to volunteer throughout the Stevens Point community and get involved with their new campus.

"It's one of the first volunteer events we have on campus," said Site Coordinator Kayla Peters who was one of the volunteers herself back when she attended UW-Stevens Point. "To get people interested in it, to get people connected with the community. That's what we're trying to do."
