Over the years Earth Day has come to be more important throughout the country and at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, they go green every day.
At UWSP sustainability is not something that campus is missing, but something they thrive on, and that is because of the school's initiatives, placing them at the top of lists for green colleges.
"It's a fantastic school for sustainability," Sustainability Coordinator at UWSP, Dave Barbier said.
The school's sustainability coordinator said education and awareness are a big priority, but they are also green throughout campus, with solar panels on five of the residence halls.
