Families are usually trying to find ways to cut the cost of college tuition, but at UW-Stevens Point, some students are trying to increase it.

When UWSP junior, Brynn Kemp started college, she assumed she'd graduate on time.

"I originally did think it was gonna be four years," Kemp said.

But now she said she's being more realistic that it'll probably be a little longer.

"Courses get pushed back because they get filled up and there's only certain amount of like courses and classes that you can take," Kemp said.

Now students at UWSP are hoping to change that.

On Wednesday and Thursday UWSP students will vote whether or not to implement differential tuition, an added fee that is designed to increase class sections and academic advising.
