A $250 million two-year state funding cut is having a major impact on the University of Wisconsin System. Cuts on each campus are decreasing schools' abilities to provide quality education for students.

Nick Myers is concerned about the future of education at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.

"We can't expect to receive that same quality of education that would normally have been there," Myers said.

He said this, after his school lost $6.5 million to the state's budget.

Chancellor Bernie Patterson said they're dealing with these cuts in a way that has the least negative impact on students.
