The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point will become a tobacco free campus in just over a week. The school announced Friday that all campus properties will be affected by the ban beginning August 25th.

Jen Sorenson is the Director of Student Health Services, and is coordinating the efforts leading up to the ban. She says this new policy goes beyond smoking.  “It’s not just a no smoking policy, it’s actually a tobacco free policy, so it encompasses all tobacco products including cigarettes and chewing tobacco, as well as e-cigarettes.”
