Taking down a tree isn't as simple as chopping it down with an axe.
There is a science and an art to felling a tree.
UW Stevens Point forestry students got some hands on experience this weekend at Treehaven in Tomahawk.
"Tree felling can be dangerous or it can be safe depending on how we go about it," said Instructor and UWSP Alumnus Don Roppolo.
