UW-Stevens Point hosted a forum to promote civil discussion on political issues Tuesday at the Noel Fine Arts Center.
The "Civil Discourse and Presidential Politics" panel featured four University professors, each with a different expertise.
Shanny Luft of the Philosophy Department focused on religion's role in the 2016 election, John Blakeman of the Political Science Department brought a detailed knowledge of the First Amendment, Rebecca Stephens of the English Department explored rhetoric and word choice, and Rob Harper of the History and International Studies Department put the election's attacks into a historical context.
