Sevastopol School has recieved two grants from the Women's Fund of Door County that will send all girls in 7th and 8th grade to UW-Stevens Point on February 22. At the college, the girls will be taking part in learning activities through a program called STEM. STEM, which stands for science, technology, engineering and math, is a program that attempts to give girls a chance to witness certain career fields in whcih there are not many female workers. High school science teacher Katie Rock helped the school to secure one of the grants.
