Many college students have daydreamed, “wouldn’t it be nice to work in the video game industry?”
Budding game developers like Daniel Quinnell aren’t just wondering; they’re making it happen.
Quinnell is one of about 15 core members of the Game Ops: Student Game Developers club, which put on a gaming festival Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Dreyfus University Center. Attendees could enter a Super Smash Bros. tournament, play numerous games set up around the Encore room, or even sample a developer’s system of Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset.
