Schneider's legacy seen in mural at UW-Stevens Point

Richard Schneider’s legacy in Stevens Point can be seen by thousands of students walking by the mural covering an entire side of the Trainer Natural Resources Building on the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus.

Schneider, the creator of the iconic mural and a longtime professor at UWSP, died last Friday at the age of 84.

A celebration of Schneider’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at St Paul’s United Methodist Church, 600 Wilshire Boulevard in Stevens Point. Visitation will be held at the church from 5 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service. Online condolences may be offered
