Nearly 500 young women from around the state visited the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Friday to explore science and technology through workshops and activities.
For 30 years, the university has been host to STEM Exploration Day, which offers seventh- and eighth-grade students a chance to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The day included keynote speakers, lunch and three workshops of the students' choices.
