Two years after she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, or UWSP, Martina Spears says she still runs into more people she knows than she doesn’t when she returns for homecoming weekend.

After a week-long slate of events, starting with students painting windows of businesses in downtown Stevens Point last Sunday, to a pep rally on Friday night, Saturday was the main attraction for the students and about 1,000 alumni expected in town for homecoming.

A parade with students, the Pacelli High School Marching Band and the UWSP Dance Team made its way around campus to kick off the festivities. People then made their way to DeBot Fields, where a campus picnic was held along with tug of war and frozen T-shirt contests for teams from the residence halls on campus.
