University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson predicts the work of Joe Hoover and Boleslaw Kochanowski Jr. will live on 100 years from now, when students arrive on campus for the first time and leave for the final time.
Hoover, of Stevens Point, and Kochanowski, of Junction City, each spent hundreds of hours creating replicas of the 22-foot-high cupola and weather vane that sit atop the Old Main building on campus. That work was the centerpiece of the university’s convocation, a formal ceremony for new students held Friday at the Quandt Fieldhouse.
