Assistant professor talks about working towards healthy goals

You’ve likely heard someone say something like, “I’ve only lost 20 pounds.” The feeling that any amount of weight loss isn’t good enough is prevalent in society when we are stuck on the big goal, the end result.
 
The end of the year is the perfect time to assess what healthy changes you succeeded in making. Those little points in the process lead to fulfillment of a main health goal and are worth celebrating, wellness coaches say.
 
“People underestimate small changes,” said Celine Kline, assistant professor of health promotion and wellness at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Kline teaches Iron Girl, a weight training class, on Fridays at the Woodson YMCA in Wausau and a cycling class on Mondays.
