Area colleges celebrate winter commencement

It was an emotional Saturday for college graduates in our area.
 
At UW Stevens Point, school officials say about 600 students participated in this year's winter commencement ceremony. There was excitement in the air as students walked up to the stage to accept their degrees.
 
School leaders said it was also a special day for parents, students and staff.
