UW-Stevens Point Women’s Choir presents holiday concert

Enjoy a concert of holiday favorites performed by the UW-Stevens Point Women’s Choir on Sunday, Dec. 7. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Michelsen Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center.

Music Professor Judy Bond will direct the choir, with accompaniment by local pianist Mary Ellen Mitchell. The audience will be invited to sing along with several popular songs celebrating winter.

The program also includes “Winter Cantata” by Vincent Persichetti, based on texts from Japanese haiku poetry. The piece will feature students Sarah Lange on flute and Brianna Trainor on marimba. The choir will sing “Choral Suite,” with an arrangement of songs from the animated film “Frozen.”

Tickets are $8.25 for adults, $5.25 for senior citizens, $4.25 for students and free the day of the concert for students with a UW-Stevens Point I.D.
