11/8/2012

The public is invited to attend a ceremony to honor veterans at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 12.
Chancellor Bernie Patterson will speak at the event, held in the Legacy Room of the Dreyfus University Center. The ceremony will include a moment of silence and the playing of taps for two veterans from UW-Stevens Point who died in the past year. Al Thompson, vice chancellor for Student Affairs, will also speak and the university ROTC Color Guard will take part.

UW-Stevens Point is among the nation’s 2013 Military Friendly Schools, as reported by G.I. Jobs, and is among the top 15 percent of universities, colleges and trade schools in the country to embrace America’s military service members, veterans and spouses as students and to take steps to ensure their success.
