Area
businesses and nonprofit organizations are invited to participate in the 2015
vendor fair for University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students on Monday, Aug.
31.
It is
an opportunity to reach new and returning students with promotions, job and
volunteer possibilities, and to help them learn more about what’s offered on
and off campus. At past fairs, participants have promoted their businesses,
student organizations and campus departments with coupons, promotional
materials, job applications, food samples and more.
The
fair will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the practice field next to the
DeBot Dining Center near several residence halls. A total of 3,400 first-year
and returning students will be on campus that day.
“This
is a great way for area businesses and nonprofit organizations to introduce
themselves to students who will be making Stevens Point their home for the next
several years,” said Greg Diekroeger, assistant director of campus activities.
The
