As Earth Day approaches, a sustainability film series will be offered in April at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Each movie is free and begins at 6 p.m. on these Tuesdays in the Dreyfus University Center Theater, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point:

  • April 8: “Switch” – this acclaimed agenda-free documentary on current energy issues and new ideas has been embraced across political lines.

  • April 15: “Elemental” – follows three individuals on three continents in various environmental activities and what motivates them to protect natural resources.

  • April 22: “Chasing Ice” – includes visually stunning glacial footage taken for National Geographic by environmental photographer James Balog in the Arctic.

Free popcorn and root beer will be available to the first 150 attending each film. They are sponsored by the UW-Stevens Point Office of Sustainability.
