Students sponsor Soul Food Dinner

“The Essence of Family” will be celebrated as part of the Black Student Union’s annual Soul Food Dinner at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The dinner will be held on Sunday, February 24, in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $13 and $8 for children and UW-Stevens Point students with ID. Tickets are available at the Information and Tickets Office in the Dreyfus University Center, or by calling 715-346-4100.
The Soul Food Dinner will include a variety of southern-style dishes, with live entertainment from UW-Stevens Point student artists. After dinner, award-winning spoken word artist Jasmine Mans will perform. Mans has opened for Grammy Award-winning artist Janelle Monae and was the 2011 poet laureate for Ralph Lauren's Rugby Poets Club.
