Earn free food at Noodles and Company while providing fruit for needy students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point through the “Fruits of Love” food drive, held Monday, Feb. 11, through Thursday, Feb. 14.
The drive is a collaboration of the UW-Stevens Point Student Involvement and Employment Office (SIEO) and Noodles and Company, 101 Division Street, Stevens Point. To participate, bring three canned, plastic or glass jars of fruit or applesauce to the restaurant and you will receive a “Free Bowl” card good for any noodles, soup, salad or sandwich. Please note that glass jars must be marked “glass” in a bag, and that no expired or home-canned items can be accepted. There is a limit of two free bowls per person, per day.
The Cupboard is a student-run food pantry sponsored by the Students Engaging in Rewarding Volunteer Experiences (SERVE), a branch of SIEO. The Cupboard served 147 clients 398 times last semester alone.
For more information, contact Liz Wescott at SIEO, 715-346-2260 or sieovol@uwsp.edu.
