“Preparing Students
for Life in the Digital Age” will be presented by author and teacher Kevin
Honeycutt at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Sentry Theater. Part of the “Point in
Common” series, it is free and open to the public.
Honeycutt travels
the world speaking at conferences and working with educators. He promotes a
“tradigital” approach to education while sharing his thinking and learning on
his blog, Tradigital Learning, and in his podcast, Driving Questions in
Education.
Honeycutt
specializes in 21st century learning tools and engagement strategies. Anyone
interested in helping children will benefit from his dedication to students,
coupled with his energetic delivery, creativity and sense of humor.
Since 2003,
Honeycutt has worked as a technology integration specialist at ESSDACK, an
educational service center based in Hutchinson, Kansas. He serves as a school
board member in Inman, Kansas.
