Mathematics program offered for students in Wausau

A program that partners parents and students to work together on mathematics understanding and concepts will be offered in Wausau through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Continuing Education and Outreach.
 

The Math and Parent Partners (MAPPS) program will be held at Hawthorn Hills Elementary School, 1600 Kickbusch St., from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Tuesday evenings Oct. 21-Dec. 9. These sessions are for parents and students in fourth through eighth grade. Younger children who attend are offered math-based activities in a nearby room.  

Families may attend the series for $12 or for $5 per person. A pizza dinner is served during the sessions. Course credit is available for the adults who attend.
