CinePoint Media Festival features student works

Get a glimpse of student productions at the CinePoint Media Festival Monday, May 16. The free program features works to delight and inspire by University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students.   

Sponsored by the Division of Communication, it begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Dreyfus University Center Theater. Student projects may include animation, comedy or drama in video, interactive materials and other approaches. 

Students have until May 13 to submit material for the third annual CinePoint. Organizer Alex Ingersoll, assistant professor of media studies and production, said 12-20 student projects have been featured in the past. Prior screenings have included dramatic fiction, documentaries, animation, experimental and expressionistic work. 

The work is judged by Division of Communication faculty members with prizes for audience choice, cinematography, sound and more.
