Campus Orchestra to perform original composition by faculty members

An upcoming concert of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Campus Orchestra will include an original piece by two music faculty members.
 

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Michelsen Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center. Conducted by Professor Steven Bjella, the orchestra will perform an original composition by Bjella and Professor David Hastings as well as works by Rossini, Bach and Ravel. Hastings will serve as the guest saxophonist. 

The Campus Orchestra is made up of non-music majors. Part of the Music Department Scholarship Series, tickets are $8.25 for adults, $5.25 for senior citizens, $4.25 for students or free on concert day for students with a UW-Stevens Point I.D. Tickets may also be purchased at the door if available.
