An array of musical groups will perform at the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in February and March through the
student-run Centertainment Productions.
The following concerts will be held at 8 p.m. in The
Encore at the Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve Street, Stevens Point.
They are free of charge with a UW-Stevens Point or Mid-State Technical College
student I.D. Community members may attend for $5.
- Thursday,
Feb. 20 - Knuckle Puck, a punk-rock
and roll band from south Chicago, with opening act The Vegans, a three-piece
indie-rock band from Stevens Point
- Friday, Feb.
21 - Brett Newski, a Milwaukee acoustic
singer-songwriter, with opening act Joey Bonner, an acoustic indie-pop artist and
student at UW-Stevens Point
- Thursday,
Feb. 27 - Preston Pugmire, an
acoustic loop artist from Idaho
- Thursday,
March 6 – Blessed Feathers, an
indie-rock group from southeastern Wisconsin, with opening act Astronaut
Husband, an acoustic player from Stevens Point
- Friday, March 7 – The Asia Project, a
spoken word performance
- Saturday,
March 8 – Handsome Midnight, alternative rock group from Minnesota
- Saturday,
March 29 – Lauren Zuniga, a spoken
word artist from Oklahoma
The public is welcome. Centertainment Productions provides
educational and entertaining opportunities, including concerts, movies,
