Brett
Eldredge, Country Music Association’s 2014 New Artist of the Year, will perform
at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this fall.
The
concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Quandt Fieldhouse.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, Aug. 10, for $30 plus service fees. General
admission tickets may be purchased at University Information and Tickets in the
Dreyfus University Center concourse, by calling 800-838-3378 or at http://tickets.uwsp.edu. Admission the day of the show
is $35.
A
native of Paris, Ill., Eldredge draws inspiration from Ray Charles, Ronnie Dunn
and Frank Sinatra. He reached No. 1 on the country charts in 2013 with “Don’t
Ya,” “Beat of the Music” and “Mean to Me” from his debut album, “Bring You
Back.”
He
recently released “Lose My Mind” as the first single from his second album. The
full album, “Illinois,” will be released in September.
Eldredge
has appeared on Today, Live with Kelly and Michael, Late Night with Jimmy
Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers. He has toured with Darius Rucker,
Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Billy Currington.
